Sorry if this is the wrong thread..

I currently have a medusa piercing that I've had for the past 4 years.

I'm about to start my second year at University. I love my piercing now but I'm wondering whether to take it out so it has time to properly heal over before I become a graduate. I'd hate to think I'd lost out on a job because of my piercing.. or obvious hole above my lip!

What do you guys think? Or should I not really be worried, as its becoming more acceptable for piercings now?

I think it depends on what kind of career you're planning on going into and if you think it'll be unacceptable.

I'm at uni and have quite a few piercings but I'm always prepared to take them out if I'm asked to (if I'm on placement or whatever) and I plan on getting rid of my nose ring when I finish uni!

I wouldn't just assume that people will be cool with the piercing itself, but I don't see how you can discriminate against someone who has a hole from a piercing if they're not wearing the jewellery!
