    Hi there,

So basically I am starting a HNC in september, I applied for student finance in april and they asked me for my partners income for 2012/13. In this year my partner had only worked for about 3 - 4 weeks of the year meaning his income was really low. Because of this we have qualified for all the grants etc.

Basically my question is, even though they asked for our 2012/13 income, is this what they will base our award on or will it be based upon the current year? I have spoken to about 5 advisers none of which seemed to have a clean cut answer! I have also emailed their complaints department and pestered them on facebook.

    Any help would be appreciated!

    Thank you in advance x

I have a gp feeling that if your partners income is going to be significantly more for this year you may need to let them know ASAP as they may consider you have been overpaid if his income is significantly higher than last year.

Thank you, I have told them this about 5 times but none of the advisers seem to have any idea what they are talking about. x
