Certain TSR users are trying to produce an eccentric persona behind their computer screens, it stinks of attention seeking and is really dragging this forum down. Furthermore, they are not even original.

They want their names to be plastered all over the 'who would you snog, marry, avoid' threads as well as the other copious amounts of brown nosing threads. You're not ISA, you're not Alphabrah, you're not Dragonborn. Stop trying to pretend you are an online celebrity who is worshiped, it's a freaking student forum FFS. At least the aforementioned users posted for the lols and entertained the majority of us on this site.

I feel as though this site is too focused on being popular and having popular views. Say what you think, be the real you and stop trying to impress others. I am not going to mention any names because that would be classed as bullying, however, what I will say is that you know who you are.

I agree. But there's no need to make a thread about it.

Don't make a thread about something like this without at least giving names

    Names!

Isn't society the same? Isn't TSR therefore just a reflection of society?

Cool, I'll just make another AMA thread, or perhaps I'll ask you to rate my looks out of 10:awesome:

Name 'em if you want, you don't have to be insulting and people can always disagree if they want to anyway. :dontknow:

I'll admit I personally just joined for the high jinks... but "popularity" on a fricking forum of all places shouldn't matter, I agree. It's a bit sad if people (especially young people like TSR is full of) really care all that much about stuff like posting "selfies" to impress others and all that as opposed to socialising in real life. I don't think there's anything wrong with stuff like the selfie thread but you see where I'm coming from.

If we applied that logic to this forum there would be virtually no threads. Look at the latest threads. None of them were necessary.

I'm a black girl ask me anything

Why do English people smell like ****?

    I had a baby at 20 AMA!

Post a picture of yourself *Be nice, don't want to get this closed*

@OP, All humans are attention-seeking, it's not surprising in the least.

Haha honestly, I do agree with you. I find AMA threads annoying, they're not really funny. I don't mind the "Rate me /10" threads as long as there are pics of hot girls.

I know, it's quite sad. They probably have nothing better to do to be honest.

Participating in a forum community is all attention seeking on one level or another. Everything you post you do so knowing lots of people will read and in the hope that others will enjoy or agree with it (or the opposite, if you're a ****).

Personally I would like to put and end to AMA's. Hardly anyone is interesting enough to warrant their own thread, and the people who think they are should probably book a stay at Dignitas at their earliest convenience.

      Dragonborn, really?

You'll always have a popularity contest vibe on a forum like this that is predominantly teenagers, imo.

Just wait till you turn 20... things change man, things change.

ON the subject of AMA, some of them are aright, stuff like AMA based of some kind of subject area or something can be useful. Most are **** though.

I have realized this as well, TSR is turning into a representation of a somewhat lord of the flies esque society (considering 90% of the people who post are in their teens) but a teenage run soc with rules and full of narcissism.

I agree with many of the others on here, forum life surrounds itself in attention seeking and many could argue that posting and thinking that others care what you think is is the epitome, the essence of tsr and that therefore we are all attention seekers by being mere members; as are you for feeling your thoughts and opnions warrant a thread but that is obviously an extreme view (despite it making sense)

I have noticed a trend in the sudden influx of ama threads, I have wanted to make one for a wee while yet refrain from doing so purely because it feels narcissistic and stupid and I in no way think i am interesting enough to deserve one. But yeah, with the hundreds of new people joinging tsr this summer (and summer boredom creeping in), I see at least 2 ama's every day in "most recent/popular discussions"

The recent Simran troll epidemic ( ) led to the erm "celebrity-dom of many casual tsr users, many who were honoured to be on study's list looooool.

I think many of the older members are slightly proud and maybe a wee bit arrogant in that they've been around longer and are well established and so i'm sure a lot of "tsr nost turning" goes on lol.

At the end of the say, this is tsr and is but a mere passing thing in our (hopefully long) life so yeah, enjoy it you ****.
