Any volunteering looks good.
While at uni you could volunteer at your local beavers/cubs/scouts/rainbows/brownies/guides group. You can volunteer at a unit close to uni. And quite a few unis have student scout or guide organisations as well.

Hiya!
My name's Anja and I just finished my degree in English Lit and International Relations at Reading. Definitely volunteer while at uni! I did loads of volunteering- Raising and Giving (RAG) society, Student Minds (supporting students with eating disorders), Peer Support, and more. It was amazing to give back to my uni and my fellow students, but I also think it sets me apart now that I'm looking for jobs. In interviews and applications, the questions regarding teamwork, skills, experience, etc. I'm able to answer with examples that are outside of my degree-that's really important. So go for it! And just do something that interests you :smile:
