Not noticed

Right, I don't wanna seem all emo n stuff, and I'm not depressed about it, but I want to know why people just seem to not notice me at all?

I don't know why it is, it's not like I'm forgettable or boring, and people most the time remember me, when they actually see me there. Hell I even have so many keys on a chain I jingle when I walk!!

I can walk around town, and no one will spot me there, I can go into the pub and I actually have to call out to the bar staff to get served. My friends often forget they've gone out with me for the night, and half the time when we're talking and they go and get a drink, they'll not come back at all. Hell even my best friends will forget I'm there fairly often!!

I can walk into anywhere, and no one will ever pay me any attention. They'll just not see that I'm there. I can also walk up to friends infront of them, say hello, and they'll jump with shock because they didn't notice me walking towards them, even though I was in plain sight.

Is it just something about me or am I just that unnoticable?

Is it because you are really short?

hmm.
i've never come across that before.
i dunno, maybe they do it unintentionally. as for bar staff, having worked in a restaurant you're often too busy to notice people coming in/out - very bad i know but still.

i'm sure if they are your friends they know you exist.
maybe your friends have a rubbish memory, i do. i feel well guilty when people start talking about stuff i did the other day, and i'm like wtf..

I am 5'10" with black hair half way down my back and very pale skin. Oh, forgot to mention I'm 19year old male.

but if you don't make any attempt to let people know you're there, then surely they just won't bother, after all, you're not noticing them either since you don't talk to them. works both ways.

Even when there is no one else at the bar, the staff don't notice me unless I call them. Even direct eye contact doesn't work.

And my friends know I exist, but they often genuinely forget that I am there. They always complain about how I make them jump so much.

I DO talk to them, that's part the problem, I'm a really talkative guy, but all it takes is for the conversation to be broken for a moment, and I'm forgotten about.

maybe you scare them lol?
not in a bad way.
or your friends are always half not there..

 maybe i've taken this the wrong way but isn't this a joke that he's a ghost, especially emphasising that he makes his friends jump.

apologies if it isn't.

I can scare, yeah, but the scaring generally limited to little kids and dogs!

And I doubt if it could be to do with my friends, as I have quite a large number I socialise with, and they all do the same thing. Probablity wise, it's something to do with me.

I have been said to be like a ghost on a countless number of occasions, but I swear that this is no joke.

One of my best friends had a party a month ago, and there were about 20 / 30 people there in total, and out of 3 rolls of film, there was only one of my arms in a photo. She hadn't realised at all about it, and when I was looking through the photos, and I mentioned that, she went "oh god, you were there wern't you!" and then apologised quite a bit thinking I'd not gone to it as I was the only person who wasn't photographed.
perhaps improving the way u look? from my expereince i was this dull boring person and really people didnt notice me but tweeked up my appearance a bit and started to get noticed or maybe because im too loud? god knows.
but perhaps u can tweek up ur appearance? good luck

Yeah, I thought that too. I used to have blue hair and people didn't notice me. I had fire red hair too and they didn't notice that either. Hell I've even tried wearing tie dyed t-shirts to stand out but no matter how brightly I dress or how I appear, it is just like I am in the shadows all the time.

Only thing I've found that makes people notice is if I'm carrying my snowboard on my shoulder through town or when I have my spiked wristbands on - they have 1" and 2.75" chrome spikes on them, and I wear one on each wrist.

Is there anything at all that anyone can suggest that will stop me being so invisible?

I've tried changing my hair style and colour, changed my dress style and changed how I act, but none of it seems to work.

how about try and be more yourself and not try so hard to get other people to notice you?
you don't need to go to extreme lengths to get people to notice you.
unfortunatly fairly ordinary looking people are noticed more than goths or big red afro black guys if you get me.

Not a piss take in the least. There's nothing wrong with going to the bus station to go to the ski slope for some snowboarding. Quite a lot of people do it actually, and we all get the same witty remarks of "where's the snow?" from passers by.

ok then so why don't you just carry it with you whenever you got? EVERYONE will look at you.

That's a really good idea, thanks. I've always spent time trying to make myself be noticed by going to the extremes.
