What Can I do for him?

One of my best friends is going to university this year about 6-7 hours away from where I live. Consequently, I will not see him very much in the next few years, and I want to give him something special. I have written a card for him, but really want to do something for him, but I'm unsure what. Any ideas anyone? I'm posting as anonymous as I know he might read this post!!

Get all your photos, memories, souveneirs, things to represent times u have had together etc, music, videos and make him something special, like a huge scrapbook with commens all thru it etc, or like a dvd of photos with music in the background. Something so personal is really special and much better than something bought from a shop!!

Get a huge clip frame and stuff with all photos from over the years - he can stick it on his wall at uni! You can also add loads of little souveniers like movie stubs and stuff for extra effect!

The photo collage is a great idea or you could organise a special day for just the two of you. You could make a picnic up with things like homemade cakes with personal messages iced on and then go to a spot that is special to the both of you or perhaps just in the country on a nice day. Spend the entire day together, talking about old times and just have fun. He'll remember the effort you put in when he's away at university and that will stick with him.

Hmm ok, well try and think of the best memory you have of something you did together and do it again...like recreating the best time you've had and take photos! Or...make him a cd, surely you have songs that you both relate to?

Maybe u should organise a whole day of doing the things he likes best, just the normal ordinary things which u normally do together so that u can really treasure every moment.

Errrmmm get a gift relating to an inside joke you have? Or something that means something rather than giving him something for the sake of it.

Yeah something as a joke sounds more light hearted, that way he wont get the wrong idea. But to be honest i think he'll take away memories of you even if you didnt do anything for him...
