In what way? By the way they look body wise? No. By the way they dress? Possibly though hardly.

What a very general question.

By the way they look. Their facial characteristics. Surely you must have been in a situation where you have seen someone and have made judgements about him/her just by looking at their face - of what type of person they could possibly be.

Unless you're a trained psychologist, no.

I think you can see slightly from their body language, but obviously not totally.

Just by their face? No. By their body language. Sort of.

I can't look at a celebritys face and say 'oh they must be nice in real life.'

yes definately.

see some fat lad with curly hair spots and glasses - loser.
see a guy, well trimmed, dressed smart, - probly good laugh as will probly be confident.

sweeping generalisation but, yes i do think you can.

Or he might be completley pig-headed and full of himself...

possibly, in which case ther probly 1 of my mates...

So we have to conclude that the answer is in fact no, since the person's personality could be considerably different compared to your first assumption.
Reply 14
Well some people dress in a certain way to portray a certain charachter when in fact they are completerly different
Reply 15
i don't think you can say no outright.

I wonder why first impressions are so lasting then. Unless the impression is made more on clothing etc. Hm.

Probably a topic more suited for D&D Psychology than here. For the sake of simplicity, we can say that any assumption about a person's character based on their appearance cannot be relied upon as conclusive without supplementary evidence.

In some cases, of course, such supplementary evidence may be trivial enough to ignore, or may be a part of the person's appearance anyway.

I don't think most people analyze their first impressions of people so rationally, if at all. Or at least, I don't.

so...fezz, somebody is a loser because they have spots and wear glasses? Dont be so utterly ridiculous! i know loads of people who are like this and some of them are really nice and some of them are bloody arrogant pigs who think theyre the dogs bollox
