Well, you're in flat 9 which so far suggests that there will be at least nine of us

there should have been a please and thanks somewhere in that question.... my mum would be ashamed:biggrin:
Hi Im in Ashcroft.. also in Pritchatts Park. Went to see my flat the other day and its really fine.. anyone else living there?

Julia
There are, or at least this is what i was told, NO pg on oakley this year, they're all freshers or returns. Because of this theres no freshers/returners in Pritchatts house. however, all plans are subject to change, so you might find some of the flats may have pg. As for whether you'll have returners, its not tooo likely, they put us all intogether mostly. Flats are specifically either freshers or returners. There's no way you'll be the only fresher, so dont worry too much about that.

What the ****? So they're keeping first years away from the bar? I loved being in PH, being able to roll up to the social in seconds.

It's a desecration.

canºt we move in on sunday??? that d be so much easier...
thanks Lauren for all the info!
You cant move in on sunday unless you beg. Problem is, Brum gets completely grid locked of about 7000 new people are all in it on the same day. so its done over the weekend to reduce congestion. nothing will be happneing on Pritchatts on the sunday anyway. It'll be dead as a door nail.

Pritchatts park is pretty good actually. People always think not cos of the foreign students occupying a fair proportion. You have your own bar where everyone hangs, as long as they havent closed it. The rooms are pretty good. In ashcroft, the kitchens are a little small compared to my luxury tennis courts kitchen hehe.
Pritchatts is lovely, i enjoyed it there. Thats why Im coming back!

ah cool. thanks for all your help Lauren! Can i ask a question...are we allowed to have friends to stay in our rooms? and do you know what the rooms are like in oakley court?

Spinney and Oakley Court are nicer than Ashcroft, but Ashcroft's perfectly nice, and possibly the most sociable. The upside in general to being at Pritchatts is that it's got a nice sociable mini community feel to it though; big enough to have good parties and a good bar, small enough to know more or less everyone. And it's dead close to the train station and campus. Yeah, it's a bit of a walk to see any mates on the Vale, but who cares? A good proportion of your mates will be at Pritchatts. Selly is also obviously closer, Harborne is closer.

Walking distance back from the Guild, the Social for parties and drinking, walking distance to pubs in Selly Oak/Harborne, walking distance to Shackleton.

Bloody ideal, is Pritchatts.
