Highway Code was the only book I used - mostly used websites for the questions, there's plenty like this one:

http://toptests.co.uk

And in all honesty, quite a few of the questions are just common sense really

Ah thanks, do they both account for hazard perception?

The official DSA app has hazard perception examples, though just googling something like 'free hazard perception mock uk' should give you a few sites

Its not as easy as everyone makes it out to be.. though you can still revise the day before and still pass. Most of the questions are pretty obvious and repetitive, but youll still have to revise some questions.

Just download an app for the theory and see if your instructor can lend you a DVD for hazard perception.

you forget most of it after you do your theory anyways

You can buy a book of all the questions/answers they can possibly ask you (there's not actually that many).

I bought something like this and got full marks: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2014-DSA-D...p2054897.l4275

I passed my theory test on the Thursday just gone! I used the highway code and the official DSA complete theory test kit. It's not necessary to put in too much effort on your theory test. Good luck!

The app that costs 69p is really good (can't remember what it's called!) My only advice to you is to not panic, take your time and don't do what I did and click too many times on the hazard perception because you will get disqualified haha! Good luck

This is all I used to prepare for that:
http://www.driving-test-success.com/haz001/haz001.htm

It's pretty straightforward once you get the hang, you just click the mouse when you see a potential hazard e.g. pedestrians, cars emerging, horses, obstructions, cyclists. Sooner you click the more points you get.
