Köln (Cologne)
Hey, this is really on behalf of my brother. Basically, he is going to Music College (Musikhochschule) there in October and is looking for accommodation. A place he had planned to rent fell through, so he's slightly stuck. There's still a fair bit of time, but I was wondering if anyone on TSR might have some insider-information, going there themselves, or just any bright ideas? If anyone lives in Köln and can offer some insight into the matter of housing etc that'd be great too!

I know rents in Cologne can be quite high and there are some areas to avoid. I would suggest checking http://www.studis-online.de and maybe even http://www.studivz.de
If possible, he should stay in student accommodation at first.
