NO I don't but as I've suffered for insomnia for years I'm relatively used to 4/5 hours of sleep during term time. However, as I'm home alone I seem to be unable to sleep before the sun comes up- so about 6am!! GREAT! So yeah, I'm knackered and feel SH*T, NOT enjoying it AT ALL. :frown:

Does anyone here enjoy being excessively tired? If yes, do you find that you somehow seem more awake when in this state? Just curious..

I hate being tired. At all. But then sometimes it's nice to sleep... I dunno, I'd like to be able to turn tiredness on and off at will.

Done it myself, on many occasions. Both intentionally and otherwise.

yup! ive found though that regular exercise gives me more energy during the day and a greater need to sleep at night.

think i'll get to bed now
You mean more alert i think, not more awake.

And yep, i'm most alert at around this time, but then my sleep is officially screwed - reversed sleep patterns and the like.

It's during daytime my head's in a cloud ..

But yeah i always did my best work when pulling all-nighters, didnt enjoy it so much come the dawn chorus, but yeah, it worked

Intentionally? Just out of interest did you drink copious amounts of coffee to do this?

I stand corrected. Oh how I love this time of the morning.

Sometimes yes. Sometimes no. Sometimes I went racing people down an up escalator in Liverpool.

(I won.)

Yeah, it happens from time to time that when I go without sleep I feel incredibly energetic. For example, sometimes if I don't sleep all night then by mid-morning the next day I find myself thinking really lucidly and wanting to go and play sport or whatever. But it's definitely "borrowed" time; the next time I start to feel tired I really crash out. This isn't something frequent though btw, I've only stayed up all night half a dozen times. It's kind of like running; you run, get tired but then if you keep going it becomes a lot easier.
I'm not so sure about he actually BEING insanely tired, but i love the feeling of getting into bed when i am that tired...
im like a few of you guys though; i can go for maybe a day on pretty much no sleep (discovered after various sleepless events:P) but boy do i die the day after....
On the whole i prefer to have the sleep....
I HATE that feeling you get when you havent slept at all the night before! I feel so so tired and my eyes so heavy that it's an effort to keep them open! I often feel quite short tempered as well, I much prefer it when I'VE SLEPT WELL! but sometimes i find that when ive had a lot of sleep, i feel tired too!
If i don't sleep for a whole night then for most of the next day i feel really weird like my had is all buzzy n i feel like i'm underwater. I don't like it at all so i always get my sleep!
