Anyone else commuting from Llandudno or Junction?

Hi!

I'm a bit nervous about commuting at the moment, I've just finished a degree where uni was round the corner at all times! I'm hoping the bus or train won't be too much of a walk or pain!

Anyone else in the same position? Or anyone who's been doing it can give me an idea of what its like.

I'm going to be studying Adult Nursing!

If you're commuting by train from Llandudno, you have to change at "Cyffordd". Thankfully you only need to wait 5 minutes. The train journey as a whole lasts some 37 minutes. It appears by train is quicker than by bus.

The trains you'll expect to take are: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/British_Rail_Class_175
and http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/British_Rail_Class_150

Haven't been on those myself.

Thanks Shawn, I will already be at Cyffordd so that shaves a little time off. Do you know how far away the campus is from the train station?

Not that far, about a 7 minute walk. (I don't live in Wales myself but I'm great at directions even if I've never been there or never will)

Hi. Its a short walk from the station to the university, however it is up hill! I would say it takes 10 minutes, maybe just over to get to the Main Arts quad. Its about a 7 minute walk from Ffriddoedd site to the station as it is all down hill.

EDIT: Just read that you're doing nursing so I think it's a shorter walk. Maybe 5 minutes or less from the station.

(All walking btw)

It really isn't far to get there, just a short walk uphill.

I'm going to Bangor this year and I'll be commuting in from Llandudno but in a different School. However I know there were lots of people at the same college as me that will be travelling from Colwyn Bay, Llandudno Junction etc to study Nursing in Bangor. You may find someone you could car share with and share the cost of fuel

Hi, I'm starting Adult Nursing next year at Bangor and have just been wondering what it is like commuting? I can't decide whether I should commute as I don't live far from Bangor or whether I should just move into halls

Commuting has been great, a lot of people travel in so I found a life share in a week. Either way is good! Public transport links are great too!
