confidence and fear

hey, i was just wondering that when your away from someone you fancy/like you tell yourself that when you see them again your going to go and talk to them and not be afraid, but, when that oppurtunity arises you suddenly seize up become scared and dont say anything to them. does anyone ever feel this way? and do you know what sort of things you could do to counter this?

i didnt tell the guy when he was going to leave school so he moved and later i found out from his mate that he did like me!! :frown:

well i think the best thing to do is when you do go up to him/her dont think so much on the bad side, no ifs, but, maybe's etc: because the more you think about them, the more nervous you will become and also think of it this way, it may only be the only ever good oppertunity you may have to tell them

Hmmm this kind of phobia is a pain in the butt isn't it? Best thing is to talk to their best friend(s) and work your way inside out, close in on her by making all her friends your friends. Then find an opportunity for you two to be all alone... and then...

Urg, freeze up and act like you've seen a ghost? You can always try just looking at her and pretending to look at something else when she looks back, lol. Does this phobia include avoiding her when she talks to you? Does this phobia include making yourself look like a fool on purpose when you believe she thinks you are "cool"? Does this also include trying to jump off a bus when she steps in in the attempt to avoid confronting her because of the phobia? Lol. If all yes, then you have achieved the highest level of love phobia. I hope you find a solution as there is no cure. :frown:

I speaking this from... err my friend's friend's experience. Of course I'm not talking about me!

im not sure about jumping off the bus when she gets on but avoiding her when were in the same place, yes, and then when i leave i feel normal again and tell myself im gonna talk to her next time i see her its a vicous cycle :mad:

, when she comes over i tend to be all silent and when she does talk to me i want to talk back but sometimes i can only smile and if i do the sentences arent to long and the conversation doesnt last.
