Some friends

I went to a wedding party for a friend on Friday night. At one point I went to the loo for 5 minutes if that, which I left my jacket on the chair at a table I was sitting on with some friends. When I got home I put my hands in my jacket and found that one of the girls boyfriends had put handfuls of peanuts in there, not just a few. The girls were at the table the whole time and this was the only time I left the table.

I was so angry and upset that someone would go through my pockets and to put food there too. I sat on the table with two girls who were on my course (one of them whose boyfriend played this 'prank') but they have got stuck behind a year due to repeats etc. I was friends with the two girls or more acquainted as they have a problem with me cos I am quiet.

Now when I go back in September I am not sure if I want to see people who let people do this kind of thing to my belongings and have a laugh at my expense, not bother to send a b'day card or xmas card to me even though I gave both of them a present for birthday and xmas last time. I know its not about give to receive but these people take the biscuit. Am I best to forget about these 'friends'?

Well, IMO, it was only a couple of peanuts and i'd prob see the funny side. As you said yourself, it was the bf that did it, so i don't think it would be worth losing friends over it, but hey, they were peanuts...

come on it was a prank and it was kinda funny, but still it was deep too, well see what happens, and that is kinda of using you with the only take and no give thing, well in my opinion friends are people who you should feel comfortable with and if its not them then leave them because you dont need to be treated like that.

hun forget these friends ...really dont bother with them although its a prank they are meant to understand wat ur like and prevent their boyfreinds from doing such a thing ...and as far as presents are concerned if they dont appreciate it why bother with these type of people just shows how immature they are dont bother with them. forget them. im sure theres plenty of other people who do appreciate u for u.

Why are you getting so upset over some peanuts in your pocket? It's not like they would have gone routing through your pockets - just dropped some in it.
I doubt anything was ruined, so i don't understand why you're willing to disown friends for just doing that? :confused:

Sound like some nice people, NOT. I am surprised that most people here find it acceptable to have a laugh at others expense. Sounds like you might not be good friends after all. I know my friends wouldn't do this.

Yeah, a bit over the top, but it's something that I would've done. Maybe they were expecting you to put your hands in your pockets then, so they could have a laugh with you.
