Definitely need to see a video of your form then lol either that or you've got sick shoulder genetics. Ohp is such a hard lift and for a beginner you've increased pretty linearly and fast from 35kg to 50kg... I mean even I am only at 40kg-42.5kg for 5x5 yet with dumbells I can use 28kg and get a good two sets with 8 reps. I can only do more than 2 reps with 50kg if im using my bodyweight & not strict pressing.

You'll just have to take my word for it as we aren't allowed to film in the gym. TBH, i think my shoulders are pretty average. My mates, plus others i know rep out 60 kg + for sets. I have had good progress on them now but i am pretty sure i will stall within the 50kg's. My next aim is 1x5 on 50 kg and hopefully in the next month or so, 50 kg 3x5 at least. Will get there braaahh!

Plus, newbie gains FTW.
I linearly progressed to 55kg for 5 before I stalled for the first time on OHP

It ain't impossible

My form was strict as well

When I stalled I added in DB press on non ohp days following cucumber's advice, worked a treat and I worked up from 50kg to 60kg

Woke up today feeling ill. Was contemplating not going gym for a few hours until i decided i should just go and see how i felt when there. Decided i may have made a mistake but kept at it and went with lower weight today. Squats were okay but felt quite weak on press. Rest was meh. Hopefully i feel better before next workout. :frown:

Yep, all over the place but set some personal record's today. Happy with progress i am making even though my weight has been constant over the last couple of months. Will be getting back on the program properly come next session and i now know what weight to be working with. Good day.

That 1 plate bench really flies of my chest now as opposed to a couple of months ago where i was struggling with a rep.

Question: For the last couple of weeks, my knees have been pretty sore and sometimes, after about 15 mins, sitting (on the floor) with legs folded can be quite tiring, esp on the knees. I've not had this problem before but this soreness is constant even though it doesn't hurt. Is their a reason behind this? I squat very low and i don't know if it's because i squat too fast? Or too low that's causing this problem.

Also, my knees click about 90% of the time i squat.

Not allowed to record, otherwise i would've. Is their any evidence to suggest that squat, whether done right or wrong, can cause knee pain? ( In this case soreness ).

If done wrong - yes

For the time being - buy a foam roller and batter your IT band and try and get a vid despite it being against gym rules

Bench: 60 kg - 5x5 (PB)
CGBP: 55 kg - 2x8
Squat: 60 kg - 5x5
Shrugs: 90 kg - 2x8
Standing Press: 45 kg - 5x5 (PB)

Decent session, deloaded on squats to get form on track. Will be going parallel then going A2G from now as buttwink is a concern.
Benching was really good, finally hit all reps and will increase weight next session.
Press was good, hit full reps but will definitely struggle here on.

08/11/2014: Workout C?

Bench: 65 kg - 1x5 (PB)
62.5 kg - 4x5 (PB)
Squat: 80 kg - 5x5 (PB)
Deadlift: 100 kg - 1x3
125 kg - 1x5 (PB)

Okay session, squats are really good, could have done more sets. Deadlift is beginning to lag. Bench was incredibly hard. Esp the 65 kg.

Workout out inbetween last session and today but never updated. Meh.
