Why are women's sports so awful?

Scroll to see replies

Women's hockey is really good. What about gymnasts? Male gymnasts have said that they can't do some of the things that female gymnasts can do (e.g the beam) and vice versa for female gymnasts (e.g rings), but then they also compete on the same equipment and are equally as good.

Testosterone doesn't really affect aggression, just putting out there. And you realise that a vast majority of athletes, both men and women, care more about their sport and how far they can go rather than what some spectators or sexist asshats think of them too, right? If you don't like women's sports, just don't watch them. They're not out there to impress you after all.

No no no. Crying sexism will not help. It is genetics and natural. One on one in all competitive sports, a male team would defeat a female team more times than the opposite.

No that's just being biased there and rank has nothing to do with it. Look at football even the best teams get beaten by lower ranked teams.

No, he conclusively beat both of them. No bias. When it comes to competitive sports, the best male athletes are far better than the best female.

In a male vs. female hockey match it would be likely that the female team would get destroyed. In competitive sports, men are better than women on average.

That doesn't mean that women are terrible. My college's female hockey team would probably have flattened the male hockey team because they tried a lot harder and were more skilled. That said, if the guys tried tried to tackle them, they would probably all get squished, giving the guys an advantage.

When it comes to athletic activity women are weaker. Put any professional female boxer against any male boxer.
At peak condition as you would assume most people competing at this level are, women are completely physically inferior to any men over the age of about 17/18.

Science, bitch.

Me and this guy got beaten at football by one girl... but still I know what you are saying and it's generally true, but that doesn't mean it's true in every field.

Even for a troll like you that's an especially poor comparison though. You put a male featherweight against a male heavyweight and it would be as unfair as if you put a 6 yr old against an adult.

Then you must be dreadful as women's football is an abomination. Even more so than when comparing other male to female sports.

Yeah I don't play football so what? I still see your argument invalid.
How does not being as fast make the sport any different in head to head situations such as in athletics or cycling?
because they are inferior athletes, pretty obvious

meh at womens hockey, ive umpired games at university level and honestly was close to falling asleep, the ball pace, player pace and technique were all pretty dire in 80% of plays. can get interesting at international level but i didnt watch much bar the olympics.

In the majority of sports this is correct. However there are sports that women excel in.

As you should know from common sense and basic Science, Men are born naturally faster, stronger and have heightened senses compared to most of their female counterparts.
Women though, are naturally more flexible, emotionally intelligent and are able to focus on several tasks with ease compared to most of their male counterparts.
Though this only applies to the average person.

Here are some sports that women pail in comparison to men

Football

Basketball

Baseball

Rugby

American Football

Wrestling

Boxing

Ice hockey

etc

Gymnastics

Ice Skating

Dancing

Hockey

Netball

etc

Remember all the hype recently about the world cup? well there is a women's world cup in 2015 and the fact that their football is really boring to watch has caused them to have the majority of the world cup played on an artificial pitch with only the final rounds being played at a stadium. They are now threatening to sue FIFA, saying it's gender discrimination, that isn't the case. In every aspect of our life today it's all about money. Men's football attracts support, money, sponsorship's, ads and the like. But women's football doesn't command even a fraction of the attendance and viewership that men's does. Is that unfair? no, it's not. It's up to people what they like and want to watch, people who watch sports consistently want excitement, those kind of goals you'd never believe you would ever see scored and this occurs in Men's football.

So, I went off track a little bit, but it should have been said that this is in certain sports.

You really don't help the situation. You're as bad as they are.

Everyone knows the female body is not as good as the male one in terms of athletic performance.

Women are only "better at" the sports that men aren't interested in.

Gymnastics...

You haven't got a clue have you?

Yeah it's a joke really. I only watch it to be amused.
The only women sport I enjoy is athletics since there's still great competition there.

People who think this are just bitter that men dominate something as high profile and lucrative as sport. Either that or just clueless and don't actually watch sport themselves.

I remember someone on here saying Serena Williams would give Nadal a game.

That person was obviously an anti-feminist troll if you're thinking if the same thread I am.

I think the point he's making is that if you put a female featherweight against a male featherweight it would be as one sided as a male heavyweight against a male featherweight.
