I just took the practice test on the LNAT website and was wondering what's considered a good score for the multiple choice section. (I'm interested in applying to Oxbridge, King's...)
Yup, 18 I would also put as the ball park figure of good, 20 is very good, and soething around 22+ ur looking at excellent, in fact I haven't seen anyone here with that lol.
Anything above average (16/17) is good, IMO. That average is the average score of students applying to top law schools, so the majority will be A grade students. If you do better than your average A grade student then thats pretty good.
i ws told the average is 16/18 and to be honest if you do enough practise papers you can get a fair idea of what ull get in the real thing. I was getting about 22 and 23 on my papres and got 24 in the real thing.
Don't get too jumpy about the computers. Last year there were something like 7000 LNAT sittings but crashes like Gucci's were in single figures.
True, it was quite common for people to claim terminal malfunctions when they failed to finish the test. But the server records everything in true Big Brother style. In the vast majority of supposed 'malfunction' cases the user quit deliberately (clicking 'ok' to the 'are you sure?' question).

There were many people on TSR who scored more than 22. There was a thread around the time.
If my memory serves me right, I *believe* poohbear scored extremely highly?
From my experiences oxbridge/UCL/Durham to be safe you need around 20. For KCL/Nottingham 18ish and above. Though UCL Do interview strong candidates who haven't done so well on their lnat as they would've liked I.e between 16-19.
