Private candidate and courseworkWatch this thread
I'd like to take IGCSE and A levels in Science like a private candidate.
My situation it's a little bit "complicate" because english it's not my first language and I'm alone in England (don't have any family to help) so I've to work full time and support myself.
Most of the science subjects have a "coursework" or lab practise obligatory.
¿Is there any way that i can "avoid" some of them? I mean, I've to pass AS+A levels lab practise in Biology and Chemistry and it's a ton of money.
Is true that with Edexcel is possible to avoid some practise attending extra paper exams?
Can I for example sit AQA a levels in Biology and do lab practise and Edexcel Chemistry and avoid this ones?
I'm sorry I asked so much but I'm a completely beginner in IGCSE and A levels, I'm from Spain and my system is totally different.
Finally, excuse my english and thanks for your time!
I'm not too sure about A-level because I haven't reached that stage yet, but I did IGCSE Biology and Human biology with edexcel. I didn't have to participate in any lab experiences, nor did I have to complete any coursework. I worked with books wich you can purchase from amazon and that went really well.
I passed both exams with good grades as well.
Hope this was helpful, take care.
