Basically I have 4.

Do what you enjoy.

What can you do to help the world?

Material Success.

Family Legacy.

now i cannot decide which is best. its a very personal thing of course.

Do what you enjoy.
while it might be fun to try and set up that yoga school in india. or go back packing through south america for 10 years. you may also find yourself broke with nothing but a few cool stories to tell. which people probably won't even believe anyway.
is life all about thrill/pleasure seeking?

What can you do to help the world?
che guaveras and ghandi types. do you sacrafice your needs. you do what you are best at. even if you hate it. but you are good at it and can help contribute to that field. you are finding your place in the world. this is a very japanese mentality following taos and such.
but what if you're best talent isn't all that good? what if you've made this career long selfless journey only to be ignored as "just another brick in the wall" do you care about being noticed?

Material Success.
wolf of wall street types. doing anything, even stuff you hate to get as much money and power as you can. life is a game of monopoly that you're going to win. but will you drive yourself crazy doing so? will the guilt of destroying and taking from the lives of others to feed your own? when you do finally win. will you be happy?

Family Legacy.
society may forget you. money might not buy happiness and doing what you enjoy might just leave you broke and single with people you share a bar with who think you're a liar. but family will not forget you. money can grow your family and doing what you love can be an example of how to achieve happiness to your children. rather than trying to change the world. maybe just add to it? add a good family. with a few more you's who are better than you were. maybe you can get them to the next step? maybe where you were poor they will be rich? maybe when you were locked up they will be free? or maybe after building a safe home and future for your children. they might just throw it all away without even a thank you and become porn stars being jizzed on for eternity before committing suicide and blaming you for it all.

so theres goods and bads for either. risks and rewards.

which one guides you down you're chosen career path?
