Men, age and what they think

Guys (or girls) how do you view girls who are 2-3+ years younger than you? Do you see them as being young and naive or just as your peers? I'm sure it depends on the girl.

The reason I ask is that at work the guys who are a bit older than me seem to think I'm innocent and young, I think the fact I speak RP and go to a private school doesn't help much. It's a little annoying. I'm not 'street' but I'm not completely naive.

And, do men prefer younger girls or girls of the same age?

the ideal age difference between man and women they say is 3-4 years. age does'nt really matter once you have passed 18ish...because you just become another member of society (if you know what i mean). But, i don't think people (men) really thinka bout age too deeply.

Well I'm 18 so I don't (want to) go for younger girls. Girls my age however, at least in my area, are quite naive. Not only are they naive they are also embarrassing to be seen with. They tend to drink way to much, vomit repeatedly (how sexy), drink more, vomit again, then start laughing at a lampost or something equally hilarious. Then they do it all over again next week.

Having a relationship with an older woman would also be wierd. WE wouldn't look for the same things.

In the end, I dont't worry about age as much as I do maturity. If you don't have excessive amount of alcohol and vomit repeatedly then lovely.
Well yes once you get over 18 it is not such a big issue accept for when you say get a 18 year old and someone over 35 for example, you think an 18 year old and a 35 year old are at a different stage in life, the 18 year old still wants to go out have a social life etc where as the 35 year old wants to settle down and get married. At the end of the day though its up to the individual person what they want and who they go out with etc.

My bf is 3 months older.

At least we'll die closer together when we're old.

Yes it would depend on the girl, but as has been said, it depends more on the ages - an age gap of 5 years between an 18 and 23 yr old would be more natural than 18 and 13 for instance, because they're in the same general group/stage of their lives, and the gap becomes less significant as you get older.

I find guys (20s plus in particular) generally like girls around the same age or younger than them, though quite a few I know around 18 do prefer the same age or older, as they find younger girls immature, in their words...

Alsong as the person isnt so young, or there isnt a large age gap that makes you seem like a paedophile, its ok, maturity is what counts!!!
I know many people who are slightly younger than myself, but more mature (and nicer) than the people my age!!!

Women live longer, so you would want a guy 2-3 years oyunger then yourself. Right now i think 23 year old girls are real hot (im 18) but that age diffrence is too much for a relationship. I think in the longterm a few years younger is nice, so that the girl still looks good for a bit longer, lets face it 40 year old women dont tend to be especialy attractive. Some girls in their early 30's can still be hot, but those are not that common.

wait, if the girl is 18 and ur 22 thats i suppose okay, if ur 18 and the girl is 14 thats slightly messed up, i reckon once the younger of the 2 is above 18/19 its cool

age isnt really a barrier once past a certain age.
(i know it isnt the same) but im friends with a 37 year old guy and a 22 year old girl at uni.

i date a 20 yr old girl and im 19.

so, it doesnt really matter.

Mine too!
well when you look at a 14 girl and an 18 year old lad, the 14 year old girl's feelings will change so much more than the 18 year old.

I prefer older girls - although i'm sure that will change in due course.

I think as long as you're a decent age (probably 16 - 18ish) it doesnt matter if theres an age gap of a few years. For example, a 13 year old going out with a 17 year old is a little bit dodgy as theres quite a difference between a young teenager and an older one imo. As people have said, its about maturity and personality
I am 18, so yes, I would say a 15/16 y.o girl is likely to be fairly naive compared to me... and in my experience, they are. JayB124 made a very good point about the booze... youngish girlies do tend to drink more than they can take and get very silly. But then again, so do some blokes.

But in general, its not age at issue, it is maturity. My bf is 25 years older than me, he accepts me as an equal because I am not silly and naive, and because I have intelligence and judgement. I know plenty of women close to his age that act like teenagers....
