I'm an International Student from South Africa, and applied at Maastricht for a Bachelor of Economics and Business Economics, meeting all the academic requirements. My status was admissible. I sent my hard copies of my A levels last week and got an email from DUO saying that i didn't make the prerequisites for the course.

I've paid the deposit for my visa and its been approved.

Has this happened to anyone before?

Did you also provide a proof of English proficiency? Did you pass the numerus fixus (the additional selection procedure)?

I think this may be due to some sort of miscommunication, so you might want to find out what happened before complying.

By the way, the exact A-level requirements are as follows:

3 GCE A-levels + 3 GCSE’s in 6 different subjects
2 AS-levels accepted instead of one A-level
GCE A- or AS level in Mathematics

Note that satisfying these requirements (being admissible) do not ensure admission. Due to the numerus fixus (limited places), an additional selection procedure determines which 500 admissible students are actually admitted.
