Hello! I am doing speech therapy this year at DMU!
Hi,
I am hoping to go off to Reading University in September 07 to do SLT. I am just about to start a short course in Speech therapy, and do a course through the Open University and also hopefully do some work experience alongside a speech therapist to gain an insight into what it involves. Can anyone who is already on the course let me know what it is like or pass on any advice etc.

I've just sent off me UCAS form,
Hoping to go to any of the following:
Reading, UCL, Manchester, Sheffield, UEA, City
I've kind of got my heart set on Reading though.

The interviews vary from uni to uni, all i remember is UCL's was weird but rather cool, i liked it. my PS was rather plain, just add in your work experiences and why, related it to slt add any interests, and don't lie, they ask you about them in the interview!!
Hey, im hoping to go to manchester or queen margaret in edinburgh next year to do SALT- at the mo tho, i have virtually no experience so im a bit worried they wont accept me! im mean 2 b doin some work starting this term tho, in school and out of it so hopefully it'll b good!
really excited, can't wait!
is anyone else hopin 2 go 2 either of those unis, wud b cool 2 speak 2 some ppl that i might meet next year!!

hey!! i've applied 2 both those uni's too!!! hate waiting for replies!!! at least i have one from ucl already but im waiting for the other 5!! I seem to be the only male who actually wants to do this course!!! I have yet to meet one!! got any offers/interviews yet??!! David

I've only applied to Manchester out of those two, and recently recieved the extra questionnaire, which im goin to fill out and send back tomorrow hopefully. Wow you have an offer from UCL? Have you already been for the interview then? How was it? How excitin! I've only gotten a confirmation that they recieved my application email from UEA and that Manchester questionnaire- im getting very impatient! Yeah I can't say I know any male want to be Speech and Language Therapists, saying that, I haven't met any female ones either!

Ah I see, phew you had me worried there! Thats awesome for you though, well done. Ooh right i'll remember that if they offer me an interview- fingers crossed they do! I went and visited there briefly last week, seemed nice! I've applied for Manchester. I have a friend who goes there, and i went down to see her last year. Which one have you applied to? Where else have you applied?
