The pill and travelling

Does anyone know if it's possible to ask to be put on the pill in order to stop periods whilst travelling - i.e.take it continuously without the one week break? I've heard that you can do this if you are going on holiday, but I'm going to Ghana for three months and was wondering if they would let me do this for such a long period of time. Any ideas?

Any help appreciated

I usually run mine together for 3 packs so should be alright.

They will allow up to 3 packs, so 3 months you should be fine
Uh am I the only one that's noticed that 3 packs will only last 9 weeks when run together hee 3 months is 12 weeks

Do 4 then. It won't hurt you but you might get some breakthrough bleeding.
You're not really meant to run more than 3 together-but as fleece says it won't hurt (so long as you don't make a habit out of it)

BUT the breakthrough bleeding can be more annoying/heavier than your usual periods in my experience - and its also more unpredictable so you can be caught short at inconvenient times! You might be better off running two packs together, having a break and then running another two packs together.

Yup. I'm with you on that one.

Periods dont have to stop you doing anything or anything.

OK, will try that. Thanks guys!
Actually (and I don't know much about it) but doesn't the conraceptive injection last 3 months with no periods? I could be wrong but look into it-then you don't have to worry about taking your pills/leaving them somewhere lol.

Think the injection can stop periods but it varies from person to person.
