STEP Offer (if applicable): 2 in II or III

University and Course: Imperial Maths

Pre-results: I think (hoping) that I just about got the 2 in II.

After results: I was expecting more marks in I and possibly a bit more in II. Very surprised to get a 3 in III though. I am now hoping Imperial will still take me in.

Comments and Reactions:
Before- I would probably be a lot more nervous for the results if it actually counted towards anything aha
After- definitely did more than 68 marks. I guess my solutions were all scattered about and the pages were messy, but still should be 80+ atleast... I don't get it

What did you think you'd get?

  • STEP I - 1 (85-95)
  • STEP II - 1 (85-95)
  • STEP III - 1 (75-85)

Given fairly wide ranges as it's hard to judge how many marks I would get for partials.

What did you get?

  • STEP I - S (100)
  • STEP II - 1 (93)
  • STEP III - S (96)

STEP Offer (if applicable): 1,1 in II, III

University and Course: Mathematics at Trinity College, Cambridge

Comments and Reactions: Pre-results: I thiiiink I've done what I needed to do. Still very nervous of course as there's always the possibility of something having gone wrong- also curious as to whether I've done enough to get an S in any paper...

Post results: Damn 2 marks off an S in II.... Jokes I'm doing Maths at Trinity!!! GET IN!!!

What did you think you'd get?

  • STEP II - S (95-110)
  • STEP III - S (110+)

What did you get?

  • STEP II - 1 (94)
  • STEP III - S (112)

STEP Offer (if applicable): S,S in II,III

University and Course: Cambridge Maths (Trinity)

Comments and Reactions:
My son's actual marks are unknown until the PIN to register is obtained.
Something sufficient for S,S is likely as UCAS says he's now unconditional.
---
The test centre got his marks for him, as the PIN seems to be lost.
So, he missed his offer (and his prediction) by one mark on STEP II, but they took him anyway.

Your son's Centre will have a login they can use to retrieve his results.

Comments and Reactions: Absolutely thrilled. I was hoping that I would just scrape the 1 in STEP II based on how I thought it went on the day (plus I only had 5 full solutions with no partials or scraps), so you can imagine the pleasant surprise I got when I saw my result!

Comments and Reactions: To be honest most people will be expecting me to feel really happy bout the results but I actually felt **** when I saw it! I kept thinking why didn't I get the offer from Cambridge when I could have easily made it with little effort! Also to further nail the coffin I read felamasli's post.
