Just out of curiosity, what uni did you go for in the States?

I'm going to Harvey Mudd College.

hehe.. it's not really well known, is it? It's in California, near LA. A very small science-engineering school. only undergraduates, and there are only around 800 students in the whole school.

Well folks I can definitively confirm my admission at Imperial College Computing course since I've just received an Unconditional Offer by e-mail. In a few days I will receive a letter with my UO and some other stuff about how to live in London, the key dates...

So I hope to see you all in September or October!!!

Good stuff, I have a confirmed offer for joint maths and computer science

I might change my course when I arrive at tha scene..
Im not too excited about doing programming at university.

Try it, you can usually change between JMC and CS/maths right up until Xmas, although it's better to have made a permanent decision within a couple of weeks of starting.

See you there!

Yeah, its a hard one to crack. I guess best would be to first see what
the course is like, like rahaydenuk said, and then change if mafs feels betta.
But then again, I don't think I should leave it to the last minute..
I think I should make the decision before I come to London, will have to see.

I guess it depends quite a lot on what I would want to do after university.
I've done already loads (or relatively amounts anyhow) of programming mainly
as a summer job type thing. But I can't imagine doing programming as a
day-to-day job in the future.. Im more interested in going into research.

Its hard to make a decision like this, by just sitting at home and thinking.
You can't know what each course is exactly like and what type of a job
you want to land after university. I cant possibly know what Ill feel like
doing in say 3 years, not to mention what to do in 10 years time. Oh merde..
Oh well, luckily I will be going to the uni I wanted all along, so is all good..
