I think it's good that something like this is available for such a good price!!! I wouldn't buy it myself because I'm happy using straighteners, but for people with less time on their hands or who just want straight hair without all the effort, it should be really good! I know people with really curly hair who have had the "Yuko" straightening process done at a salon, and that was really effective!

Wow! Almost seems too good to be true. Although i dont straighten my hair any more, just use straightening balm.I know they emphasise how it makes your hair stronger, but all these sorts of products are bad for your hair in some way or another. Btw, 'Yuko' is what Jennifer Aniston has done and costs like £300! So this seems like a good alternative!

I want it so badly. But my hair is highlighted so I says it's not suitable. I hate having curly hair :frown: boo.

^^ Same here, whats wrong with highlighted hair! People whose hair has been coloured can use it!

Tell me about it. I think our hair is out to ruin us quite frankly. I'm tempted to buy it and see if it makes my hair fall out. I'm desperate for straight hair. I hate my hair grr.

Could you sacrifice your highlighted hair and just dye it one colour? Then you could have straight hair foreverrrrr

I've had my yuko'd for quite a few years now.

I'm curious to know how the kit would work, but dont see it as being as effective as the yuko system in a salon... given the price difference and the amount of time and expertise required.
Thanks for telling us. I think its a great idea that boots are lauching their own straightening kit otherwise i would have bought a straightening kit from Ebay. I'm desperate to buy of one those permanent kits. I hate straightening my hair and i trust boots because they would have carried out extensive reaseach and testing before putting it out on the market and even so it wouldnt hurt to try.
I'd hope it'd work altho I'd be kinda of worried about what it would do if it was going to be permanent :-S What happens if you want to curly your hair, ie.with curlers would it still work and you just have to re-use the straightener product after? Bit in the dark, never heard of this before
'Our testing has shown that after using Boots Straighten your hair will actually be SIGNIFICANTLY STRONGER THAN BEFORE'

 it all seems to good to be true

Hey seen this on boots website, it is available online now and in shops from 4th sept http://www.boots.com/shop/category_new_template_content_rich.jsp?classificationid=1042646
anyone tried or gonna try it?

That would be why I couldn't see it in my store the other day when I was looking for it! I think this might be quite popular. By reading the description I don't think think gives the same effect as straightening but makes it less frizzy etc.

yeah it does sound like that and to be honest i dont think its worth it at all.i had the same sort of thing done when i went to sean hanna, to make things less frizzy and tame but at the end of it my hair was just so damaged and it was only slightly tamed... and that was for 50 quid. i really dont think a product worth 14.99 is going to help at all.

Actually I hadn't seen all that info and pics on the site, they must have recently put it on. According to the pics it seems to make a difference. I think I will try it.

Unfortunately, i have highlighted hair so i can't use it :frown: I actually have naturally straight hair, which develops a kink because of the way it has been cut, if it hasnt been straightened. I used Remington's atm, they are ample for my hair. I don't think i need to go to these extremes to straighten my hair
Hey just wondered if anyone had tried this yet? ive got one at home waiting, but havent had chance to try it yet!

i wouldn't trust that for 14.99!!! i used to have mine done at a salon and it cost 250 and took a professional 3 hours to do it, so it would take a hell of a lot longer for a friend to do it!!

also its permanent so if your friend buggers it up ur stuck like it and it could ruin ur hair! u'd be stuck like it till it all grew out!

also when it starts to grow through curly again, when it rains the top of ur hair goes frizzy and looks really really bad!! not a good look in the rain or when ur out and dancin up a sweat!!

plus ladies curls are back in!!
