A few years ago I'd have tried this in a second but I'm learning to love my slightly crazy hair, I've kinda given up caring. If I don't touch it from stepping out the shower, just leave it to do its own thing with no brushing and fiddling it ends up sort of volumous and wavy... sort of surf hair.. I dunno, I'm starting to like that it's not straight.

i wouldn't trust that for 14.99!!! i used to have mine done at a salon and it cost 250 and took a professional 3 hours to do it, so it would take a hell of a lot longer for a friend to do it!!

also its permanent so if your friend buggers it up ur stuck like it and it could ruin ur hair! u'd be stuck like it till it all grew out!

also when it starts to grow through curly again, when it rains the top of ur hair goes frizzy and looks really really bad!! not a good look in the rain or when ur out and dancin up a sweat!!

plus ladies curls are back in!!

I want to try it but curls on hair ony 2-3 inches long is not the look to go for. Damm anyone if I'm growing my hair either!

So has anyone tried it yet? In wet, windy and cold Bradford this might be a great invention

Top tip: The Boots website is doing free delivery if you order something this weekend (usually you have to spend over £40).

£14.99 is a good bit to pay for something liek that. You might as well get a straightener. I got a Remington one last year and its brilliant! http://www.boots.com/shop/product_details.jsp?productid=1045703&classificationid=1018559

Has no-one seriously tried this yet?

Come on guys, I'm curious!

Reply 31

I am too - really surprised that no one has tried it. I thought it'd be really popular!

Reply 32

It is, but only at the buying stage I think...

I think everyone's waiting for someone else to try it first.

I've had my hair yuko'd, so its no good to me, otherwise I would've done it long ago.

Reply 33

lol, yeah im waiting for someone else to try it first

im not too sure abt it having ammonia in there...is ammonia really bad for the hair??

Reply 35

Hmmm...I'll have to think about it...though I have a feeling it might not work on my hair :frown:

Reply 36

By the way loads of people have tried it on the handbag.com forum if you wanna have a look on there. The reviews are mostly good but it's probably not a great idea to use it on coloured hair as it may make it like straw.

Reply 37

Thanks for that. I need to read the reviews before actually purchasing one. since am not sure whether it'll work on my hair or cause it to fall out.

ammonia is in hair dye. its probably not great but millions of people dye their hair these days so it cant be terribly bad. hair dye actually makes my hair nicer for some reason, duno exactly what part of it does though.
but i suppose if its promising to make ur hair straight its gunna have some not so nice stuff in but depends what youl sacrifice for straight hair

I bought a perm solution and combed it on, making my hair straight, then after the time I rinsed and all that and...it really worked!

What's so special about this one? Isn't it just perm solution in different packaging? I mean, perm doesn't mean curly, it means permanent...so, what' the difference?
