Hello,

I have bought one of these but I'm confused by the instructions. If your strand test takes 35 mins when you do the real thing do you start timing after you have applied it all or do you leave it on for 35 mins from when you started doing it? I'm confused by the "diagnose your hair table"!!
Thanks

Hi,
This is my first post here
I've used this too! I have had my hair straightened in a salon about 3years ago which had all but grown out.
I bought this and was fairly skeptical, thinking that how can this work for only 14.99
I applied it on my own, I didn't have a helper available  my hair is long, past bra-strap. I had also coloured it at home two days before but I couldn't wait the recommended two weeks :p:
Anyhow, I didn't find the process particularly hard, it just seemed to take a long time.
I am really pleased with the results, it's even straighter than when I had it done 'professionally' . It's shiny and seems stronger. When I wash it I can just dry it with a hairdryer roughly or leave it to dry on its own and it dries dead straight :p: It looks like I've had it blow dried at the hairdressers - it looks really good.
The best 14.99 I've ever spent on my hair, and I've spent hundreds on straightening gels, balms, spray, shampoos etc
Pretty unbelievable really, I have to keep checking in the mirror
Well recommended!

I was thinking of getting this but first I have a question. How long do highlights take to grow out (my hair is at my bra strap) and does it matter if you have a half head of colour?

Reply 66

Well depends how fast your hair grows doesn't it.

Thought I'd let you know I did this today, and it worked SO well! My hair, which is usually naturally kind of loose ringlets, was pretty much dead straight after doing it! It needed about 5mins with the straighteners to get rid of the slight fluffiness but other than that it was fine! Would def recommend it.

Hi i used this kit the other day, i am of mixed race white/black, it stated not to use on my hair type but i have very english hair, if that makes sense well it worked wonders, i have sleek smooth hair  !no sunflower frizz also am gonna go and get a bob cut tomorrow, ive always wanted a bob and there so in now i can, i must agree that it is hard and confusing to use but for £14.99 well i paid £11.99 they sent me a voucher its really fab, infact its more than fab its bloody madness you say yuko cost £300 upwards and cost depends on lengh of hair well mines over 18inch so am stuffed it would cost a great deal well done boots all sceptics go on do it you know you want to its great to run my fingers through my new hair well it feels new, come on £14.00 is really a bargin its like finding £300 on the floor and treating yourself to free yuko by the way i have ringlet type curls fine brown mixed race hair

Mine didn't when it was lashing it down all day on Friday

People have been using similar things on afro hair for decades now..its not that new a phenomenon although i'm not sure why the books one isn't suitable for afro hair? Mine costs £2.99 from my local haircare shop in london and i do it every two months or so.

I just bought mine today!

There are very strict guidelines for it (eg. avoid tying hair back for a week, don't wash/condition for 2 days after, etc.) so I will try it at a later date (such as college holidays)

'Til then, I will just keep using my hair straighteners!

I jus finished applying it & my hair is really straight which it didnt use 2 be when wet esp... .....Well cant wait 4 it 2 dry & then i'll see how it turns out 2 be.... ....

I used it today, and it wasn't as effective as I'd hoped it would be. My hair wasn't curly, but always went really 'big' when it wasn't straightened. Now it's better, but has a kink in the bottom and doesn't go straight down.

It could be because I didn't apply it well. My hair felt knotty after I applied the cream and I couldn't comb it out well (I was worried - it did say treat hair gently...) I left it on for the longest time it said, though.

I tried mine a few days ago.

Nowhere near as good as the hype would suggest, but it worked okayish I guess...

o yea, forgot to update u guys sorry! mine worked well. though i got a kink in it as i tied it up on the same day!

but yea, my hair is more manageable now and doesnt turn into a huge fluff ball after wasdhing and actually dries straight! i do still straighten it though but im glad i had it done!
