Does that have any side effects, do u still get a period?

Reply 3

Implant, protected for three years and the side effects are just similar to the pill or any other hormone based contraceptive. I've got it done myself and it just seems like one less thing to worry about

Lol, no, i only recently got it done lol.

Shes maybe only just had it done?

The injection is really good, i had no side effects, sumtimes light bleeding instead of ur period but it makes u have a lighter period, eventually it stops them altogether tho.
Personally i dont like the implant, my friend had it, she had the worst ever bruise and scar for ages, and u can feel the little metal bar under ur skin (i hate that kind of thing) plus she has the most irregular periods i know. x

does the injection make you have periods?? is it regualr?? does it stop you having babies eventually??

Reply 10

it stops your periods eventually yeah, and at first theyre not irregular, they just lighter but they come when expected. and no it doesnt affect your chances of having babies eventually. But if your wanting babies anytime soon, you need to wait until the injection has fully left ur system. x

Reply 11

hmmm think i might stick to the pill. any ideas which is more reliable?

Reply 12

I've had implant for 7 months and so far it's very good. I've only had 2 periods in that time though, so if you like regular periods, it might not be for you.

My advice with the pill is if you have bad side effects with one, go back to the docs and ask to be changed, they are all different and there is one out there for you!
