I've heard the word 'sexuality' bandied about in common parlance for many years. Are you Southern? Maybe it hasn't reached there yet?

Homosexual and Alternative Sexuality Studies wouldn't have sounded as good
Alternative Sexuality Studies would be fine though.

Hell, even Sexuality Studies.

As Shakespeare put it, 'Men of few words are the best men' (or as Mark Twain put it even better: 'As to the adjective - when in doubt, strike it out')

Fine, I really don't care

Why has there been no mention of lesbians yet? Isn't that a bit sexist??
Except the thread says 'gayest subject', so it encompasses both genders.

But the comments have sort of been based on the number of males studying that subject.

I'd say that Music was the gayest subject at my school by a mile, and I can't see why things would be any different at Cambridge. But this might be a desperate attempt to divert attention from languages.

Also, now that I'm a regular cantabrigian and can pronounce 'Caius' and negotiate all the other obstacles that enable us to laugh at outsiders, I know Peterhouse is the gay college. But I didn't know that when I applied. Now I'm a liberal person, but it would be a pain in the arse (no pun or connotations intended:wink: ) to have to explain to everyone that yes, you go to the gay college but that doesn't actually mean that you're gay. An unknowing straight male turning upon 30th September might also be in for a bit of a disconcerting surprise. Don't know if I expect Peterhouse to hand out a pink prospectus on open days or what (for those with an irony defficiency, I don't), but maybe some kind of notice would prevent a bit of hassle for some.

lawl.

Funny, I looked around Peterhouse while I was there. I didn't dislike it because it was gay (I didn't have a clue), I disliked it because it was pokey (NO PUN INTENDED).

Wait, I'm sorry... you're suggesting that prospectives should be told that Peterhouse has lots of gay people in? Apart from simly not being true afaik, it's an utterly ridiculous idea. Should you also tell people which colleges have lots of disabled people, lots of people from ethnic minorities, lots of religious people? That sounds like a fast-track to people segregating themselves.

Anyway, I'm off my gay soapbox for tonight, I think.

i don't think i'd fancy going to "the really gay college" (in a hypothetical sense) not too keen on superfags...
I think he was joking...

But they might want to know, so as to find the easiest route to a bit of in-college anal action. Whats so wrong with that?
Nothing wrong with anal action, it's gay anal action that bothers me
