I'm doing the foundation year in science and moving on to Cybernetics. I was hoping to do Bioinformatics and Cybernetics, but they appear to have removed the Bioinformatics bit from the prospectus. So I'm a bit worried now.
Edit: Correction - they are different, but I think it might already be integrated into the course as something you would learn with Bionics. I suggest you email a professor and inquire about its status as this is just an assumption. Don't wait till your at the Uni to find out. The sooner the better.
Also guys and gals, how many of you are Undergraduates around 19 years of age?
Hey guys and gals, add me to the list- i am also in Sherfield Will be in my 4th year of Food Science (just completed my 3rd year placements) I've seen Sherfield hall, it is cool. Don't know what block i'm in though
Hehehe, yeah your ancient(Im messing about). Look forward to seeing you all. Just look for a 6ft 5inch tall person and it will probally be me. Hopefully I dont have to look out for doorways!
If I were you Djonma I would see if I could do that foundation year in half the time(by january) and then hop onto the first year of the cybernetics course and finish in june(or both in one year). If you and I share the same course then I can bring you up to speed on it.
Edit: Welcome DNG, glad to have you with us. Do you have any pictures of sherfield hall from your time at Reading? If so pls post
lagnus, I don't think I'd be able to cope with only half the first year of the cybernetics course... Would be worried about being really behind. I guess it depends on how well I do in the foundation year. Though I'm kind of looking forwards to 4 years anyway :-)
