I missed my firm offer to study Psychology at Cardiff by quite a lot, but got into my insurance choice. After a bit of thinking I realised I didn't actually want to go there, and also that the grades I had received were higher than the requirements for my insurance choice, so I rang them up and asked them to release me into clearing. I was released straight away, and called Plymouth enquiring about clearing, and they gave me a verbal offer. At 17:03 last night, I'd applied for the course on track However, I'm still waiting for them to accept me... is this normal? I'd heard that there was a bit of a delay with the whole process but I'm worrying

Yep, fairly normal. Congrats on the place, you should get accepted soon.

You can call Plymouth to check if you want, but the process isn't constant. The fact you've chosen the course needs to be transferred to Plymouth, then they need to confirm that your qualifications match those you gave to receive the verbal offer. They then need to send that back to UCAS who then need to update track. All these things will only happen at a specific time, rather than immediately unfortunately, so no need to worry.

Yes these things can take a bit of time. Congratulations on finding a place .

Thanks all, I was just worried I would end up rejected with nowhere to go, which right now feels like the end of the world
