Good Hairdressers in Manchester?

And I mean good, not shoddy! Preferrably in the Withington/Fallowfield area but I can travel if needs be.

I've just moved to Manchester and I need a suggestion for a good hairdresser. I'm used to a really great one, and I want someone who can cut hair properly.

Thanks
ur not gonna get much help with your location set as "North, unfortunately"..But good luck any ways

Ohh, where in Fallowfield are you?!

My housemate went to Nino Milano Studio, on Wilmslow Road (next to Mr.Bubbles laundrette) and her hair looked lovely! Shes incredibly fussy and paid quite a bit to go there, but it was worth it.

Although not in Fallowfield/Withington, the Toni and Guy Academy in the centre of town is great; £10 last time I went and had pretty much an entire restyle. It's done by a trainee, but is constantly watched over by the professionals.

If you want to venture a bit further afield, i'm sure there would be some nice salons in East Didsbury.

Sorry this hasn't been too helpful!

Hey -

The Toni n Guy academy is meant to be a bit of a lottery. It's cheap but you can end up with a ****ty looking cut. Theres the italian place on wilmslow road - if ur rly fussy , then Kings street in central Manchester, all the big salons and studios are there in central. You pay for the best hair dressers tho.

Depends what ethnicity you are as well. If you want AMAZING hair and are white or mixed race and have a bit of extra cash available, I would always recommend the Urban Hair and Beauty Salon in Harvey Nichols. For any black, mixed race or asian girls, Jed Techniques off Upper Chorlton Road is absolutely brilliant. The staff are wonderful, you get 10% student discount and the atmosphere is amazingly friendly.

Don't suppose you know how much a mens cut is from the salon in Harey Nichols do you?

You could try The Hair Cuttery in town. While I hated my cut, most of my frineds love it there. It's not too expensive either.

Don't go to the place near Gafs in Fallowfield; they dyed my housemate's hair grey!

Either Toni and Guy in Deansgate or Micheal Paul just on oxford road both really good, if you go to T and G get Peter Zorbas he's won hairdresser of the year before and is pretty cool!
