    I study at Durham University.

My qualifications are near-perfect, apart from the fact that I only achieved a 2:2 in my first year. Will this hinder my chances of securing a summer internship? I presume first year results are required on applications, but I could be wrong.

I obviously am aiming for at least a 2:1 classification.

    Thank you for your time.

They're required on some but not all, so it will limit you a bit but not rule you out. So long as you write predicted 2.1 you should be mostly fine. See the official summer internship thread- I think some people were discussing how much impact first year grades have on there.
