In my AS results i got BUU, a B in psychology, U in biology and chemistry. Im really gutted and dissapointed as i thought i did much better than a U, what were the grade boundaries? In my GCSEs i got 2A's 8Bs and 1C. I dont know what to do now, I want to resit biology and chemistry AS whilst i'm doing my A2 year, but i'm not sure if the college will let me back in? and i'm really worried! My mum and dad are really supportive and said that they will get me a tutor if thats what i want and we'll ring the college up and arrange a meeting to talk to my teachers! I know that i'd work harder because it was a wake up call. Does anyone have any advice? (: thanks!!
should i re sit just biology and chemistry? or the whole AS year? and if i retake the year would i have to sit psychology as in both the modules i got an A and B

I would advise doing a AS year on its own then doing all the A2's together, You will want to focus on those other subjects without the worry of coursework and other stuff for psychology.

Your school more than likely wont let you continue on to do you A2s. In my school if you get one U in AS you have to repeat the whole year which is a wise decision. So you will probably have to repeat lower sixth. In my experience trying to doing A2s and repeat AS exams isnt a wise decision as you focus too much on A2s and end up doing badly in the AS exams again especially with biology. Hope this helps.

I am a retaker myself (though in uni now) and I found that once I had improved my chemistry grade to a B in AS it was then much easier to go on and get an A in A2. Its the gaps that are hard it easier to go from B to A than it is to go from U to B. So I would take this year to get your understanding of Bio and Chem to a high level and then the year after that should be a bit easier.

Did you re take all of your subjects in AS then do your A2 year? or only the subjects you failed? Thankyou so much.

You could if you wanted to but I don't think they would force you into it you could just retake those that you failed. Also I did retake all of them but a few friends of mine only retook those that they failed and that seemed to work for them.
