    Aphex Twin perhaps https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n3HjjOs7p5s

I've also been getting in to this group called Sly and the Family Drone (stupid pun). They do really long(!) tracks which are quite weird and ambient. You might like them, might not. http://familydrone.bandcamp.com/

I can't help you much more than that I'm afraid because I'm more in to the rock side of things. I would recommend using Bandcamp though. If you find an artist you like on Bandcamp, you can look for new artists through the tags.

Thanks for the bandcamp suggestion, already quite a big Aphex Twin fan as well

    +1

Nice, but slightly too melodic for me, I'm more into dark stuff. Repped

Oh I've just thought of another one. There's a group called EAR (Experimental Audio Research) that do weird, drony, psychedelic stuff - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=80Rdh5tMN10

In case anyone is interested, I think the genre is witch house.

Tbh I hadn't heard of the term before, but most witch house songs seem to have trap style drums along with dark noisy synths (just seems like another hipster label to me though, just like seapunk and vaporwave ).

I think this page is a pretty good example of what I'm looking for, hooked on FD at the moment
