My AS-level results yesterday were really not what I was expecting. I got a B In Biology and Maths and a C in Chemistry and Music Technology(dropping Music tech for A2). I'm only 5 marks off a B in Chemistry but i'll be retaking 2 exams for it and 1 for Biology and Maths to push the AS grade to an A hopefully. Should I even apply to vet school this October? because I am aware of the extremely high chance of me getting rejected straight away because of these AS grades. I have 13 weeks of work experience at various places and currently doing an EPQ (predicted a B). I'm gonna still try and work really hard to get AAB overall for A-level next year after the retakes and A2 but are there any other options after that apart from the BioVet graduate route? I heard something about someone taking a year out after A2's and doing some resits then and getting more work experience, has anyone on here done this before?
Have you ever experienced racism/sexism at uni?
