After failing A Levels twice it's rather obvious that I wasn't cut out for them. Because of this I would like to use the AAT route for Accountancy as that's the profession I seek to follow. The problems I'm having at current are :

    • The courses (Level 3 especially) are very very expensive and I don't know if I'm eligible for funding
    • As I don't have a job in anything accounting related I won't be able to apply for an apprenticeship (apparently)

I basically need advice on what I should do and whether I should , for example volunteer for a job. Or would I have to do that after Level 2?

Is it possible to do the course online as well?

Do an AAT apprenticeship level 2/3. Should be free and you earn with the company. You can then advance onto level 4 AAT which is like first year of uni. And then some uni might even accept you onto second year of an accounting and finance degree. Or you can do ACCA and become charted. Any specific questions feel free to ask. I did both A levels and AAT upto level 3.

Look at the apprenticeship website and look for one. Level 2/3 shouldn't be that hard to find depending on where you live.
