Would it be unreasonable to request this from occupational health? watch

    • Thread Starter

If I was to start an healthcare course which required vaccinations would it be classed as unreasonable to ask them to do a blood test first to see if I was already protected? I have had one single measles vaccination in childhood as well as the MMR but they say that two MMR's are required. Also I have had 3 hep b vaccines in the past but they say I need a booster. I just don't want vaccinations unless they are absolutely neccasarily ie I'm unprotected. Reason being is that I don't want it to trigger my immune system to over react I have alopecia which is autoimmune. Would they let me have a blood test first or are they usually strict? Can they make you have vaccinations or do you have a right to refuse in the UK without it affecting education/placements?

That's generally what they do anyway.
