Unfortunately I didn't get into firm offer, so I'm going to Portsmouth as my insurance. However this now means I can't into halls, so I'll have to go into a house or flat share...I literally have no clue where to start!
I've looked on the university accommodation website (http://www.portsmouthstudentpad.co.uk/Students) and found some really good accommodation at a reasonable rate. But I'd still like to make sure I end up with at least some first years in the same position as me, so I don't miss out, and don't want to sign up to a house where I'm going to end up living with a bunch of people I don't get on with!

    Any help is really appreciated.

Not sure if you've seen this yet but here is a link to the Facebook group for pompey student housing run by the university. Not actually on it myself but think its where everyone who is looking for flat mates etc posts about that sort of stuff.
