I've been reading online about how you can't set off the smoke alarms and all that in the uni accommodation and I was wondering if this means that candles are not allowed. I'm one of those people who likes to burn those scented candles so I just wanted to check if my candles could set off the smoke alarm. If it does then I guess I can't bring any.

    Hope someone can help thanks

It's hilarious that that's your main concern about university.

Edit: I read up that candles are not allowed in the residences. Although, they are unlikely to create enough smoke to set off a fire alarm - Unless they start a fire of course. If you're not studying to be a candlestick maker, i'd leave them at home. I'm staying in south towers, can't wait!
