Directly related career prospects for Psychology are very good, for Philosophy almost non-existent.
Just make sure that any Psych course is accredited by the BPS : http://www.bps.org.uk/bpslegacy/ac -

Unless you want to be a psychologist then there is no real reason to choose a Psychology degree over Philosophy. Both have a wide range of transferable skills so it really comes down to what interests you more. Or do a joint degree in Philosophy and Psychology!!
