Hey! Less than 25 days until Salford Welcome!

    Well done for getting in.

I was chatting to the SU the other day, and I know they are keen to try and establish new academic societies. There isn't an active English Lit/Language society at the moment, but if you do find enough people who are interested in forming one, it's well worth looking in to. Not just for the social aspect, but does look great on your CV too! Have a look at the current academic societies to get an idea of the activities they get up to - http://www.salfordstudents.com/group...ciety#academic

Are you moving to Salford in September, or living at home?

Thanks, sounds like a good idea!
I'm from Nottingham so will be moving up to Manchester but not sure about uni accommodation as I have the option to live with my boyfriend.
There are pros and cons to both options so need to have a good think about that...

Which campus is English taught on?

    Hi Rebecca,

Nottingham is a great city, I used to live nearby and visit quite regularly - had friends in Beeston. Manchester is pretty similar I guess, in terms of size and what's on offer, so you'll probably settle in quite well. The thing I love most is that it is really well connected, so you can hop on a train be pretty much anywhere in a short time. And of course Salford is just a few minutes walk, and one train stop away from Manchester.

What accommodation are you looking at?

Hmm, I dont know anyone doing the English courses so not sure where they are taught... I will find out though.

    Hiya!

English is taught across Peel Park Campus in the Maxwell Building and Adelphi Campus in the Adelphi Building. Hope this helps!

The official word from the tutors is, teaching occurs on all campuses, including MediaCityUK, but as Adelina points out its mostly Peel and Adelphi.

Which probably explains why, when i looked up the tutors on the website, I found them based all over the place lol.
