9am i think is prob the earliest, but latest could be like 7pm i think to start! i know my mom teaches unitl 10 on tuesdays

It varies between each uni, but as others have said you shoudn't usually get any before 9am.

9am but when you actually start depends on your timetable

Think my earliest classes will be 9am, there are some optional ones that last throughout the night though :wink: but they're course specific heh

Yeah 9 o'clock is the norm, but take into account actually getting there!! I had to leave my room at 8.20 at the latest to get there on time!

is it possible to only need to be at uni at 10? or even 11?
and how many hours do u spend at university each day?

All depends on the course and timetable!!

It's entirely possible for some courses to only need to be in uni 2-3 days per week :smile:

yeh some cousres spesh sciences and engineering etc have like 9-5 mon to fri evey week, some arts cousres like english have about 5-6 contact hours per week, so it varies a lot

How about accounting is it alot of time at university and alot of days per week and alot of hours per day or is it on the side of little-hours?

As others have said, nine o'clock; but I've had supervisions at eight in the morning before.


Gah, 9am is early enough. I had better not get any of these early-rising supervisors.. luckily haven't so far!

At Bath we sometimes have lectures at 8.15 am, although I think most of those are given to freshers because the majority of them live on campus :smile:

I have 2 days which start at 9am - 5pm, and 2 days which start at 10am till 6pm. But i get mondays off which is good! Dreading the 9am starts, i hate mornings!!

im doing computing and i have been told it will be about 4 hours per week Lecture time. 4 hours workshop time per week and 2 hours tutorial per weeks. which is 12 hours peer week. i hope my leacutres are eearly cuase i work better early and i get the afternoon to mysefl. also i would like to know how hours do you spent a week doing studing /coursework in your own time ?

I know some people who have 8am lectures.

Most of mine are in the afternoon though.

I thought computing was suposed to be a relitivly tough course. I have 2.5 times more contact hours than you (30 hours a week) im doing mechanical engineering.
