    Hey guys,
So after getting my AS results I managed to get:
    A - RS
    B - English lit
    B - History
    C - Biology

I was terribly desperate to apply to UCL, Warwick, Bristol and universities of this calibre to do English; however I am now unsure - will these university still potentially look favourably on an application in which the grade for the respective course is not the highest and is not an A grade? I am resitting English to try and boost it to an A grade but I am unsure as if to this well help either

    Thanks!

How many UMS did you get in each? Do your teachers realistically think you're able to achieve As?

You need to work out what you need in A2s to get As overall, and consider if you think it's realistic. Even if the unis do give you a chance and give you an AAA offer, it will be even worse for you this next time year if you miss the offer because it was too farfetched. Like sometimes it's just not doing yourself any favours to reach too high and put too much pressure on yourself.

Obviously if you got high Bs you can most likely drag them up.

English I messed up the exam and I got 73 UMS over all - However I did join the course 8 weeks late I had my mum walk out on my dad 1 week before the exam which was quite damaging as you can imagine
History I also joined 8 weeks late and got 73 UMS over all

Just to reiterate, I am going to resit English to try and bring the grade up - will this help?
