I'm strongly considering applying to study geography at uni (thinking about applying to unis such as kings, ucl, queen mary) as I really enjoyed learning for both GCSE and A level (Got an A at A level) and think it will be a degree I will enjoy.
However, at this moment in time I would really like to pursue a career in law and become a solicitor - from people's knowledge although I could definitely take this option by studying for a GDL and then LLC would this be a difficult route to take and would I still be able to challenge for a training contract at a top city law firm.
By the way, I can't study law at a top uni as I didn't get the grades this summer. (AAB)

Hi. Firstly QMUL were asking for AAB for Law in clearing so I reckon you would have a shot with your grades. When you actually HAVE the grades unis are often more lenient. I got A*BB first time and I got 5 offers from Russell group unis for law after a year out (I did resits in June) and got an unconditional offerfor one. If you did resits I think you could get an offer from one of the unis you mentioned, especially when combined with a strong LNAT.
I didn't want to do the GDL route simply because of time/cost.
Not a direct response to what you were asking but hope it helped
