I am currently in need of a new laptop and currently studying in A levels. Hope to use this laptop/computer in my university years. Planning to do marketing or anthropology so need a laptop which will still be usable and powerful enough for photo editing and video editing. Which laptops would you choose, my laptop is really old so I need a new one. I don't mind spending above $1000 ill save up. Also is there any tablet which can be used with the laptop like editing documents on the go when I leave my house and it automatically saves on the tablet.

You can get much better Windows laptops for the same price as an Apple product. With Apple you pay ridiculous amounts just for the brand.

Yup, i'm using it since two and half years ago, and still pretty good. i think HP hardware is pretty good, and though. Unless you throw it to the wall, it'll be definetely broken

andd the most important of all, it's depend on how you treat your laptop.

    p.s
    check this laptop type
    HP Folio 13 Full SSD.

If you're doing lots of video and sound editing (as much as it pains me to say) apple are leading the game. You'll just have to make it last to get the money's worth on it.

Yeah that's the thing windows 8 is just not good enough and for editing software's I checked there is no one better than Apple so I will probably have to dish the money out :P Other powerful laptops are for PC gamers and I don't game on PC's and don't intend to. Plus I can get an iPad and edit stuff on the go as well.

MBPs are actually pretty good for the money. Windows laptops comparable to the current MBPs aren't any cheaper.

And you also get a better OS for video and photo editing (and I believe in general, but that's personal preference).
