Hi all! Im going to Lancaster Uni this Autumn to begin my Business Economics degree. I got the place through clearing so Im behind every one else who have already chosen their accomodation.

I would just like to know if anyone can recommend to me which college I should go for?

I'm adventurous, like to drink and socialise, like tight knit groups but love meeting new people, struggle to get up early in the mornings (so which would be closest to lecture buildings?) and I like modern design but also buildings with character? A decent bedroom view wouldnt go amiss too!

I dont want to be in a college which has no vibe to it - as in, I have seen posted on other threads that Cartmel for example is a ghost town and the bar is pretty bad? I need something essentially the opposite!

Any help or comments/contributions would be greatly appreciated! And anyone doing Business Economics, get in contact!

    Cheers

The link above has links to the the several different colleges.

Off the top of my head, what I have heard is the Grizedale is the more social college, Bowland is the oldest, Flyde is more sporty. Ofcourse the Grad College is for post grads only.

Some colleges don't offer all the accommodation types so you choice should also be dependent on what accommodation you want. For example townhouse or halls

I think Grizedale would suit you!

Thanks for the reply!! I have had a good look at most of the info online and I still just cannot make a choice! I was looking for standard ensuite and narrowed it down Bowland and Furness... then when looking at the accommodation images on Facebook I was a little disappointed... do you go to Lancaster?

Funnily enough a life long friend is also going to Lancaster and he picked Grizedale

I'm attending as a first year this coming September. Picked Grizedale Townhouse!
