As an AS student is there anything that can be done to help my chances of getting an unconditional offer?? Or does it just not happen. I really want to go to oxford by the way. Xx

As far as I'm aware, Oxford no longer give unconditional offers except to post-A2 students. There are other universities such as Birmingham which occasionally give out unconditionals, though.

Birmingham and Nottingham do give unconditionals for 'select subjects', but so far I've only heard of unconditionals for languages students. It is possible that the range of subjects giving unconditional offers will increase, as they were trialling it.

I have one friend who got an unconditional offer for physics at Sussex, because he was well above their standard offer.
