I want to apply for an internship during the summer of 2015, but lack knowledge on economic principles, risk management, mathematical theories and other things that are taught in degrees like economics and accounting.

Is it necessary to research these things? Or will a good understanding of the role I am applying for and the company I am applying to be enough?

I'm planning to apply for an internship in auditing, if that makes any difference.

    Oh wow, concise!

If you don't mind me asking, do you work in the finance industry?
